Metanast is proud to host a very special event, in honour of Salford Media City saxual deviant Stuart Pearce. Alongside his glorious presence, expect a wide range of improvisations, noise, and live coding. For one performance only, Stuart will partner up with technology abuser Manoli Moriaty, with the latter augmenting Stuart’s brass tones with gestural devices and analogue pedals. Music may occur.

Programme

Qui Koh

Nathan Kelly is an Australian improviser currently touring the UK. Performing as Qui Kuh, Nathan utilises loop pedals, laptop, tape heads, radio, contact microphones and prepared speakers to create sounds that signify inanity, annoyance, or childishness in juxtaposition with sounds commonly received as blissful or meditative.

Stephen Grew

Stephen Grew is an established piano and keyboard improviser with the Grew Quartet. Extended piano techniques augmented with electronics.

KYOJIN

KYOJIN are Dan Hett and Davydd Pattinson, a terrifying combination of doom noise and live coding. Expect screaming hard-as-you-can soundwalls and disorientating audio-reactive 8bit visuals. Nice.
