Pete Furniss

nssm02aClarinettist Pete Furniss gives solo electro-instrumental concerts internationally, including collaborations with Martin Parker, Richard Dudas, Haftor Medbøe, Thor Magnusson and Alex Harker. His practice encompasses improvisation,  contemporary and chamber music performance and a broad spectrum of educational activity.

He is currently undertaking practice-based doctoral research into augmented performance practice at the University of Edinburgh, supervised by Michael Edwards. His work explores the relationships between liveness, agency and artistic voice in technologically mediated environments.
