Aidan Richard Taylor is a South Wales performer who has a long history working with homemade instruments and electronics. He is constantly active in numerous musical projects which include electronics and improvisation trio Ginko, live audio-visual visual duo Form Constants, and his solo compositional and performance work on the modular synthesizer. Aidan’s more recent work is inspired by mathematician and pioneer Edward Norton Lorenz, who developed modern ideas of chaos theory and coined the term “butterfly effect”. Aidan uses chaos theory as a point of departure in both his approach to composition and his electronic design. But his real talent comes in weaving these ideas into lush and dramatic live sound works with his instruments. In the near future, Aidan will be releasing an EP of chaotic works.
